Of course, it is highly recommended to pay a visit to some of Rethymno’s ultimate spots, such as Preveli Beach, Kournas Lake, Bali beach, Elafonissi, Fortezza Fortress in Rethymno Town, Rimondi Venetian Fountains and many more.

A visit is the nearby Melidoni Cave (2 minutes away by car) is worth making due to the archeological findings, some of which are exhibited in the Archeological Museum of Rethymnon. Moreover, the cave has played a tragic role in the history of Cretan revolution against the Turks, in 1824.

Additionally, Perama town, which is a 7 minute drive is very close too and it offers all the facilities and amenities one would need like well-stocked mini-markets, post office, pharmacy, a doctor’s office, a butcher’s shop and bakery as well(hot, fresh bread every morning from 9 am). Furthermore there is a good selection of cafes and excellent traditional tavernas.

Moreover, the beautiful sandy beaches of Panormos are the ones closest to the Villa, just 10 minutes away by car.
